Badgers Den Cottage is the newest of our holiday cottages. This spacious open plan barn conversion property sleeps two people and is set in beautiful surroundings, with spectacular views towards Skiddaw and Binsey Fell.
Badgers Cottage has been assessed under the National Accessible Scheme, and has been awarded Mobility Level One. "Typically suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance."
This cottage is fully central heated, all heating and unlimited hot water included in the price of your stay. Entrance via the front door leads into the:
Living Area
The spacious open plan living area hosts the lounge, dining area and kitchen. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave and the cupboards are filled with all cuttlery and crockery etc needed.
This property has views from the kitchen overlooking the beautiful Cumbrian countryside towards Skiddaw. The living area also has two armchairs, digital TV with DVD player and dining table with seating for two.
Wet Room
The wet room has luxurious underfloor heating, shower, toilet and wash basin. With a movable shower seat.
Bedroom
The spacious bedroom is ideal with its zip and link beds which can be either two single beds or one double bed. (Please specify you desired bed makeup at the time of booking). The bedroom also has wardrobes, bedside tables, chest of drawers and ample space for a cot (which is available upon request).
Outside
Badgers Den also has access to the shared BBQ and seating areas overlooking the peaceful and tranquil tarn. There is also ample space for car parking.
Laundry Room
This property has access to the shared laundry room with the Otters Pocket and Ospreys Nest Cottages. The room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, recycling facilities and a selection of local information.

Situated just outside of the Lake District, to the north west, Cockermouth is a market town in Cumbria, England, which is popular with visitors to the region. Nearby towns and villages include Arkleby, High Lorton, Lamplugh, Aspatria, Goodyhills, and Allonby. Cockermouth is one of over a hundred towns and villages in Cumbria in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Carlisle (population 71,773), Lancaster (population 45,952), and Liverpool (which has a population of 469,017 according to the 2001 Census).
